dammit, so for the past...ehh...i dunno how many days, I come home, kinda tired, and my books aren't the first things I wanna see, considering the fact that I know have them open more than ever. So I come home, turn on the TV and pop in my Family Guy DVDs. Tonight, I watched the final episode of the 1st disc of the 3rd season. Then I popped in Robert Rodriguez's "El Mariachi", which I haven't seen since it came out in 1992, when I really didn't pay attention cuz I had this whole American patriotism/loyalty/assimilation/affinity/[insert redundant synonym here], and so basically I didn't want to be spoken to in Spanish or watch Spanish TV...it was immature and the attitude most likely developed from waking up every morning and seein the TV tuned into ECO (which I haven't heard about/seen since before the age of 7 i believe--and it's equivalent to I guess, err, a spanish CNN), or the most boring program of the day on any given spanish station, because my either of my grandmothers were already there early in the morning before my parents left for work either to babysit me...or once I turned 5, to take me to school. Ehh, whatevers, I'm so over it...I prolly grew out of this around age 12 or so, when I realized my bilingualism would soon become an asset rather than an annoying "handicap" or something. haha thats funny, super random topic to speak on, and I already forget where I started.

oh yea, so since I hadn't truly seen it, when I "saw it", I have been wanting to watch the movie. and recently they had a sale for all at work (Best Buy)--it was get the double pack special edition of desperado and el mariachi as well as "once upon a time in mexico" for 25 buckaroos! so had to get it nukka!

so yea, I remember when Desperado came out my dad was like "eh, it's good but it's just a remake of 'el mariachi.'" little did we know...or at least little did eye know, that they are both...or well, including the last film mentioned...all three are Robert Rodriguez films. so anyway, after I bought the DVDs...I read all the synopses, and well I remember one of the words used was "trilogy." so the impression given is that "el mariachi" is the 'part 1' of the saga, and each movie that followed was a sequel. For this reason, I wanted to see for myself so I popped in "El Mariachi" to see if it truly alludes to the events that occur in "Desperado" or whatever so that I may judge for myself whether Desperado was a remake or a sequel. And then I've heard from some that "Once Upon a time..." isn't really a sequel...so eh, I will see once I pop in that movie.

anyway the point of this was to mention how I can't seem to stay awake recentlyn when I try to watch DVDs, due to my incredible level of fatigue. and sux cuz my mom just woke me up to turn off my TV again...the third night straight...and turns out I had an hour and a half nap...i only remember the 1st 10 minutes of the film. damn it.

oh well, my eyes are getting red, so I better hop on my homework before I really knock out. Luckily I don't have class til 1pm on thursdays, but tomorrow I have advising at 10 (damn it), so now I have to wake up early again....grrrrrr

alright that's it....payce
